Cimbálová muzika Fanúš

The westernmost cimbalom band — folk music group

Folk songs from Moravia, Bohemia and Slovakia — weddings, balls, festivals and corporate events

Who is Fanúš?

Cimbalom band Fanúš performing in Františkovy Lázně

Songs mostly from Moravia

We mainly play well-known and lesser-known folk songs from various regions of Moravia. We also happily venture into Bohemia or Slovakia. These are all traditional folk songs, so there are no royalty fees to deal with.

The westernmost cimbalom band in Czechia

Most of us come from different parts of Moravia, but life took us further west — partly to Prague and partly to Františkovy Lázně. That is why we play most often in Central and West Bohemia. We are happy to travel anywhere in Czechia or abroad.

Line-up

Our core line-up is violin, viola, cimbalom and double bass. On request we can add a second violin, clarinet, or even dancers performing traditional folk dances.

Our musicians

We play as a classic cimbalom quartet. For larger events the line-up can be extended with a second violin and clarinet, and the performance can include traditional folk dance shows.
